SITCEL Advances National Cybersecurity Strategy with Boot Camps 2 & 3 - January 2026

Beirut, Lebanon – January 16–17, 2026 —The two-day advanced training initiative brought together national cybersecurity stakeholders, including SITCEL President Hassan (HANK) Hibri, SITCEL board members, representatives of the National Cybersecurity Team, cybersecurity professionals from Lebanese security agencies, senior officials from key government institutions, and private sector leaders. The boot camps aimed to enhance national digital resilience through hands-on, high-level capacity building aligned with Lebanon’s strategic cybersecurity priorities.

Building on the success of SITCEL’s flagship Cybersecurity Boot Camp launched in October 2025, Boot Camps #2 and #3 were organized in direct coordination with Major General Mohamed Al-Mustafa, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Defense and Head of the National Cybersecurity and Advanced Counter-Terrorism Committee. Academic and technical oversight was provided by Dr. Lina Oueidat, representing the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, ensuring full alignment with the objectives of the National Cybersecurity Agency and ongoing digital transformation initiatives across public institutions.

The training series concluded with the distribution of qualification certificates to participants who successfully completed the program and examinations in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Fadi Makki, Minister of State for Administrative Reform (OMSAR). The certificates were awarded during the prestigious SITCEL Dinner 2026, held at the voco Hotel in downtown Beirut, marking a key milestone in SITCEL’s national cybersecurity training roadmap.

Through this initiative, SITCEL reaffirmed its role as a central national platform for developing certified cybersecurity expertise, supporting Lebanon’s efforts to build a secure, resilient, and future-ready digital infrastructure.
