WHO Lebanon hosted the leadership of the Lebanese Federation of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (FLEG) and representatives from its 10 member associations to explore joint action on adolescent health, protection, safeguarding and the promotion of the Code of Conduct.

The discussion brought together insights from the 2024 Lebanon Global School-based Student Health Survey (GSHS) and explored how the national โ€œHealthy Trendโ€ campaign can better reach adolescents by speaking their language, reflecting their realities and giving them a voice in shaping healthier choices.

With around 20,000 girls and young women engaged in the Guiding movement across Lebanon, FLEG offers a powerful platform to take health and protection messages beyond campaignsโ€”into peer networks, families and communities.

Together, WHO and FLEG will explore opportunities to:

ย - Promote healthy choices among adolescents

ย - Amplify the โ€œHealthy Trendโ€ campaign

ย - Strengthen youth participation and peer-to-peer engagement

ย - Raise awareness of the Code of Conduct and safeguarding principles

ย - Support safe, respectful environments free from exploitation and abuse

Guides and Scouts are not simply recipients of health messages. They are partners, advocates and agents of positive changeโ€”helping build healthier and safer communities across Lebanon.ย
